Passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021 at the age of 59 years after his courageous battle with Laryngeal cancer. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends and anyone that had the pleasure of being in his company. He had a heart of gold, was good natured, was a generous quality to him.
Rob was a dedicated BCAS paramedic for 26 years, from 1987-2013. He began his career in Cranbrook, BC, transferred the lower mainland, Kelowna, BC and finally to Victoria, BC where he finally retired and made this home.
He enjoyed golfing, cooking, online gaming, reading history, especially the history of Victoria. He became a member of the Fish, Game & Wildlife Association’s airsoft community in 2019, a sport he loved.
Rob was cremated and will be laid to rest with his mother, Jacqueline Lois Varga, located at Westlawn Cemetery located in Cranbrook, BC.
There will be a celebration of life to be held on September 16, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, David Slater Auditorium, located at 411 Gorge Road East, Victoria, BC.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
