Just wanted to say that there is not a day goes by that I am not looking at some mainframe JCL or code and it is perfectly documented with information supplied by the author Kelly Manning. So let it be documented that Kelly Manning was a loyal and hard working man, who was fun to work with and enjoyed his profession, and provided for his family. He will be missed.

i am sad to hear of Kelly’s passing. Kelly was gifted in many areas including the technical world of Physics Math and Computer Science. I attended University with Kelly and subsequently worked closely with him for almost 40 years. Kelly had a brilliant mind and the most extreme memory. He could recall the exact detail or conversation 30 years ago. I will very much miss him.

I had the pleasure of working with Kelly in the early 2000s. He was the quiet guy who knew the material better than anyone and was happy to point out your mistakes. And that is exactly what is needed in our industry. So thanks for that Kelly. Your time with us was too short.

Kelly was true gentleman. I was amazed when he told me he did not have his doctor's degree. With all the knowledge he had he should be given one. I remember the sessions I gave at BCSC where I would yak for a few minutes and then glance at Kelly to see if I had made a mistake. He would catch the smallest thing and let me know. I then started asking him if I had made a mistake even before he called me on it. We all listened to his stories at the Tim Horton's monthly 'Geezer' Group meetings. I will miss him. We all will miss him. But Laura I know you will miss him most of all. My condolences and thoughts are with you.

I remember working with Kelly way back when. He really knew his IT stuff, that's for sure. He would answer all of the questions we would pepper him with. Please accept my sympathies.
