Wednesday, April 3, 2019I was saddened to read of your father's passing. My husband George was hired as Deputy Chief Constable of Central Saanich Police Service in 1986 and served with your Dad until Bob's retirement in 1992. George enjoyed working with your Dad and often commented that he was a kind, quiet spoken but efficient boss. May he rest in peace. Carol Lawson and family.

Sunday, March 24, 2019Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of great sadness. Bob hired me at Central Saanich in 1989. He was honest, kind, caring and a true gentleman. He was without a doubt one of the best leaders that I have ever worked for. Over the years I got to know Bob & Dolores on a personal level. They were an amazing couple and will be deeply missed by all that knew them. Several months ago I had a discussion with several co-workers of CSPD that worked with Bob, and suggested that we take him to coffee. Life got in the way and it never happened. Now death has taken him away, and I am truly upset that we didn't make it happen. Hopefully he is at peace and reunited with his beloved Dolores. Bless them both. Bob

Saturday, March 23, 2019Our thoughts and hearts are with the entire Miles Family at this time. Your mom and dad were such wonderful people and such good friends of our mom and dad's. They belonged to an incredible generation. Our Grandfather Harry Jackson actually worked as a dispatcher for the Prince George RCMP Detachment when Bob was posted there early in his RCMP career. We know how difficult the past few years of caregiving have been and wish you all a well earned rest...and peace. You will miss them now, forever...but they will always be as close as your memory and hearts! Hold them there!

Saturday, March 23, 2019I would like to give my sincere condolences, and those of Kylie and Brandon, to Bob’s family. He was a kind and caring man with a big heart and he left a lasting impression on us. May he now be reunited with loved ones gone before. Thank you for the memories.
