Friday, December 22, 2017Roberta was a tender soul. I remember how beautiful she looked when Aunt Joan, my mother, Roberta and I visited Butchart Gardens. We were both fourteen at the time and I took a lovely picture of her sitting in front of some flowers. She seemed light and breezy when I talked to her, and much more worldly than I was. Later, when I lived in Victoria in my early twenties, I would go over to Uncle Sam and Aunt Joan's house for Sunday dinner. Roberta would sometimes come for dinner as well, and her eyes sparkled and she'd laugh at my tales of travel or nursing. It's sad to think she is gone. I offer my condolences, particularly to her sisters Cathy and Lynne, and to Kim, Chris and Philip.
