Reading Donna’s good letter I could only think that I agreed very strongly with all Donna wrote – but would increase it by about 200%. Now I'm confirmed: everyone mentions Janice’s immenasesely warm and outgoing kindness. The strength of that quality in Janice is overwhelming. Most people also mention her wonderful artistic sense and her cooking – equally outstanding. Nobody has spoken of those marvelous sweaters she made, worn by Robert, in outlandish colours but lovely patterns and good taste - until arthritis got to her hands. Janice was one of those people who was always busy – usually doing something for somebody else. What a work of art she made of the new condo in down town Victoris- though, to be fair, I think we have to credit Robert with some responsibility here. The restraint, the choice of colours, - paintings, sculpture- made entry into that bright room an exciting experience at any time of year – let alone those wonderful dinner parties which everybody talks about. I don’t see how Robert and Aisha will carry on without her and I want to run to Janice for comfort. She ought to be here!
Dear Robert and Aisha - my deepest sympathies! Your loss is shared by many of us who enjoyed Janice's good company and loving friendship. Here's wishing you strength and peace. Frances
